This treasure was needle felted onto a 100% wool felt sheet. The felt sheet allows fibers to have something to grab onto in the needling process. They essentially become one much like painting on a canvas.
Unmounted this bespoke treasure can be displayed with a wooden dowel and string, mounted/framed on a mat, or used as a trivet or coaster.
Note: This OOAK wool painting has a neat straight edge because it was felted onto a precut wool sheet.
